HI Ladies!
Just wondering if people would think it is too much to register at 3 stores?
I have family that lives out of state and where they are they do not have one of the stores we are registering at.. I'd like to give them another option...but don't want to feel like people might think it's too much...
Anybody have thoughts on this?? How many stores are you registering at for your own weddings??
Thanks!!

I think for this reason it's fine.  Three seems to be the norm, depending on where you're from.

I am "deaf-initely" one of a kind.

As long as it makes life easier for your guests and you, I don't think it will be a problem! Course I wanted to register at Lowes or Home Depot..and they don't do registries.. :( lol

I think it's typical to register for at three stores.  I've registered at BBB, Williams-Sonoma, & Belk and no one has told me it was innapropriate.  My FStepMIL tried to get me to register at a 4th, but that is where I decided to draw the line.

1-3 is actually the norm.  Gives your guests plenty of choice.

3 is perfectly fine.  4-5 is the norm where I'm from because we don't have large chain stores in my hometown except for Kohl's.

I work at Home Depot, and we do have gift registries. That being said, its an extreme hassle for the people who are registering. The store does not have a very smooth registry system, so many people opt not to do it. Thats probably why alot of people who work there dont know that we even have registries. If it is something that you really wanted though, you should ask at the service desk, because they should definately know how it works.

I'm considering 4 stores since I want to use amazon for some stuff, Macy's and William Sonoma for kitchen stuff and bath stuff and then BBB for stuff like ironing boards since I was going to use target but everything says stay away from them.  But either way it's still a 4th store. Or I might just forgoe the ironing board

Try not to duplicate items. It will make a major hassle for you with returns.

Get a clipboard and walk through your house. What's in each room? What needs replacing? What can be upgraded? What do you not have?

Think about what you like to do.  Gourmet cooking? Register for special cookware and appliances. Are you campers? Go to REI and register for sporting goods.  Have fun with it!

Home improvement - try Sears, too. They have those wonderful Craftsman tools.
