 Totally up to you, if you don't need/want anything it's fine not to register anywhere and spread word of mouth that your guests don't need to bring gifts.

 If your not having a shower I don't think I would register.  How would they get the onfo of where you are registered?  If they want to give you something they will just do the GC or money.

 I would still make a small registry.  Maybe just one place for things that need replacing - sheets, towels, maybe an old appliance or two that could be upgraded.  Not everybody likes giving gift cards or money (like me), and especially not to a couple who is already established financially.

I'd use this as an opportunity to ask for some items that will allow you to make some upgrades or maybe even redecorate a room or two.
