Ok, I finally figured out what I'm getting my BM. I am getting them a bunch of different things from Mary Kay, sugar scrub, energizing leg and feet lotion, a gel mask, hand cream and satin lips and I was also thinking about a bottle of wine. I was originally going to give my reader a bottle of wine but is that weird since I am getting my BM that as well? Also what is everyone getting there personal attendant and flower girl? We are getting the GM and ushers watches and sunglasses. It sounds more lavish then it really is. We got our parents each a Willow Tree figurine that has meaning. Am I going overboard with my BM? Does anyone see anything wrong with anything? Am I forgetting anyone? I've been freaking out about these gifts for some reason.. at least this is one of many things I've been freaking out about. Any help would be appreciated!

Get them gifts you would buy for their birthdays--they don't all need to be the same. If all of your bridesmaids would like wine and the cosmetic stuff, go for it. I don't see a problem with getting your reader a bottle of wine as well, if s/he will enjoy it.
I don't know what a personal attendant is.
My two SILs (8-year old twins) carried our rings, and we got them little necklaces that have a crystal birthstone and their first initial (from Etsy) and a snowglobe that you can put picutres in. I put a photo of DH, the girls, and me in one side, and intend to put a wedding photo in the other side (slight procrastination issue).

Friend who you couldn't put as a BM for # reasons, but you still want to "honor" them, so you make them your slave for the day.

Just because you saw it on Four Weddings, doesn't mean it's a good idea.

It's an assistant or DOC.
They should get a tip, not a gift.

MNIN, that was my reaction when I read the explanation of what a personal attendant is...you would call that a payment for services, not a gift.

I think a personal attendant is more of a midwest thing. I think it would be highly rude to give them a tip. They are not someone you have "hired" to do stuff for you for your big day. It's usually a friend that for one reason or another didn't make the cut to be a BM but you still want them to be apart of your day.
Ok now that we have that covered? Can anyone help me with my original q?

Those gifts are fine. You can also shop for them as if it were their birthday, and get them something customized.
P.S. That's the problem with "personal attendant": it's an obvious, "You don't rate as a friend enough to make the wedding party."
It is NOT an honor to WORK at somebody's wedding.

I have been stressing over gifts for my BM as well. I am getting everyone the same thing, but that my choice. I found alot of good ideas on Etsy just search BM gifts. I already got all my BM a tote bag with their Intial on it. I am thinking about getting them towel robes with their monogram on them, a personalized pocket mirror (from etsy) and getting the jewlery for the wedding. Probably get one more thing but not sure what yet.
For my 2 FG I found a cute saying online that I am embroidering on a hankerchief, which says she can use this as her something old on her wedding day. I also plan on getting them some fun stuff too.
p.s. my best friend had a personal attendent at her wedding, which is one of our good friends and she got her a purse with bath stuff in it and a key chain with her intial on it and date of wedding. It depends who you ask as your personal attendent a gift for a friend or a tip for a professional wedding attendent. Nothing wrong with having one, you need someone to help you all day
hope this acually answers your question :)

Skip initials unless you're certain they like monogrammed stuff. Lots of women don't, and it creates an instant white elephant that even Goodwill can't use.

I don't think you're going overboard at all. I think as long as your getting someone a gift that you sincerely think they will enjoy, you can't go wrong.
