A bit annoyed...

So, I know I have no right to be annoyed about this, but I need to rant somewhere!

I've been planning my wedding for a little over a year now, and everyone in my family has known my wedding date since June of last year. Just a few weeks ago one of my cousins announced she's getting married, less than a month before me!  The worst part is she's only nineteen, and she's known the guy for less than 6 months, as far as I know. I can't help but feel like she's making a mistake (though I don't know the details, so I really shouldn't judge), and I'm more than a bit annoyed that she's "stealing my thunder," in some ways.

Again, I don't really feel like I should be upset about this, but I am. I won't say anything about it to anyone else in the family, but I really needed to rant!

    You're justified! But you're doing the right thing venting on here and not to family! As soon as FI and I got engaged, his baby brother proposed (they dated 4 months) and are having a wedding 6 weeks after ours. I have kept my mouth shut because I don't want to look like a B, but seriously, need attention much?

    That happened to me too! But our weddings will be very different, so I don't feel quite as worried about it.

    Duh, Zeus would never have a baby at his wedding. Babies are the ultimate thunder stealers. Even from Zeus. Why do you think he used to eat them?

    Hi OWN! It's going well. I came into the office yesterday to get some work done so that I wasn't so stressed this week. I'm actually at the excited point right now. I'm sure that will turn into sheer panic by Thursday-ish, though.

    I can't wait to be able to tell you about my wedding. :)
