So we are THIS F*CKING CLOSE to closing our loan under the new bank we found after all the bullsh*t malarky the other one caused.  The loan officer called to tell us that the underwriters have asked for one more thing, which is 12 months of transaction history for my mom's mortgage to prove that this isn't some attempt to avoid forclosure etc etc.  Okay, fine, no problem.  I call my mom to tell her that we need the information, and she informs me that A) she can't get it to me today but she'll go home after work and "look for it", and if she doesn't find it she'll ask the bank (WELLS FARGO, PEOPLE.  WELLS F*CKING I CAN'T GET ANYTHING DONE FARGO) to send her new information through the mail because "she doesn't want to stop by the bank today". And B) she's going out of town next week.  OUT OF TOWN.  Because she "felt like it" and it's "not her fault that it's taking them so long to close" even though she needs to be AT THE GODDAMN CLOSING and the contractor is ready to start on Monday.  F*CK YOU MOM.

If I wanted to hear the pitter-patter of little feet, I'd put shoes on the cat.

Does your mom have her checking, etc through Wells Fargo too? Can she just print her statements (or just the line showing the mortgage payments) to show them?

I'm sorry nuggs.

Can she access her mortgage account online and print the payment history?

She CAN access it online but she doesn't know how, and she's "too busy right now" to call Wells Fargo and either a) have them tell her how to log in, or b) just print it off themselves and fax it to me at work so I can send it to the lady, or c) stop by the bank at lunch to do the same thing and pick it up or d) anything that would lead to this getting resolved in a timely motherf*cking fashion.

What a headache. I'm so sorry Nugs.

I'd ask if online statements would suffice, as well. It takes all of 2 second to log in and maybe 2 minutes to print transaction histories.

Sorry, Nuggs.  You guys really need a break.

Can she give you the mortgage account number so you can create a login and print them yourself?

That's a good idea if it's doable!

I'm so sorry Nuggs.  What a headache.  Doesn't she realize how drawn out this will get if she pushes it off.

And cuz she doesn't feel like it? Wtf. Seriously. Wtf.

I'm going to see if she will.  I'm sick of her f*cking attitude about this whole thing.  And I'm already pissed that she had 2 months to pack her sh*t and when we went over there on moving day almost nothing was done. 20 years of a borderline hoarding sitting all over the goddamn place.  And then she b*tched about feeling "rushed" when we freaked out at her.

When I was all "MOM WTF, why are you going out of town next week we have to close!"  she was all "DON'T BLAME ME IT'S NOT MY FAULT I'M WAITING ON YOU GUYS" all snottastic.  It IS your fault, because you decided to book a trip across the f*cking country when you know that you're needed to sign for the closing on a house that will take 10 weeks to update knowing our lease is up in 8 weeks.  You stupid heifer.

Anyway she can  have a proxy sign at closing?

I'm so sorry this is happening. Finding our house was a PITA, but the loan/closing situation was a breeze.  I wish it was going better for you.

Oh Nuggs!  That blows!  I can see why you're seething.  I sincerely hope that you can get this figured out.  Sometimes being the responsible one in the family just sucks.

Ugh, I am sorry you have to deal with this. We are going through crap with our bank to get our mortgage too. I feel like we have jumped through 1000 hoops and we still don't have everything finalized.

Holy cow, lady, my blood is boiling for you. Can you go over there, march her to the computer, and refuse to leave until you can get the account info online? I know what a huge pain the last situation was, and this is completely ridiculous.

WELL.  I called her at work and kind of might have lost my sh*t at her, and told her if she didn't send me the information that I needed by the end of today I was going to withdraw our application and she could be stuck paying two mortgages.  I got my stuff by 3:30.

I'm sorry you had to go through all that. I'm glad you got your stuff, though. Some people just need a well-aimed kick in the ass to get stuff done.

I don't normally post here, so I'm not familiar with your situation, but.....

The seller only has a minimal amount of paperwork to sign, really only 10 minutes worth if that. The real estate attorney handling the title/closing should be able to prepare the seller's docs ahead of time so your Mom can sign before she leaves.

OR depending on how your loan is structured, your bank may require a few signatures from the seller. If that is the case, the attorney handling your closing should be able to prepare a Power of Attorney (for like, $50) that gives someone authority to sign on behalf of your mother.

(At least, this is how it goes in Rhode Island)

Of course, your Mom would have to get her mortgage crap to you in order for this to happen. But a closing can definitely happen without her. Good luck!
