Opinions can't be bad? Subjectivity...we're humans, we have it. Opinions should be shared whether positive or negative.

If you are upset about comments made on a board the place to discuss them is on that board. Snarky does not equal come over here and bitch about posters on another board.

Also it is not rude to point someone to a particular board if that is where they will get the best into.

I know what you mean. The same thing happened to me the first day I posted something. I felt like people were really rude, but soon I learned how things worked by reading through a lot of threads. Now I have realized people are just honest and sometimes you need to hear it. Don't get offended or get your feelings hurt. Take it with a grain if salt.

Ok yeah...I just read the post in question, and your response, and wow, you're kind of a snot. If you like your venue, then that's great, but people shouldn't have to take the fact that your wedding is in a certain location when giving an opinion of it.

First of all, people come to the international boards all the time looking for advice on a local issue. So we point them to their local boards, otherwise a new poster is unlikely to stumble there. Happens all the time.

Second of all, don't come here and complain about how someone posted that your venue was prom-like. Again, we're an international board, with no knowledge of your local venue or the dynamics of your own local boards.

If you don't like it on these boards, then maybe find some place that you do feel comfortable posting. If you want to join the threads here, then you're welcome to do that too.

Chelsea - she was upset that she posted on a board requesting info and the people who replied told her to try the local boards. And then on the local board, someone went to a tasting at her venue and gave it a bad review. Apparently giving opinions is okay, but the OP thinks they should only be good opinions.

I don't even think she was asking for reviews. Someone just happened to have gone to a tasting and posted a review or something. It was weird. Much like it was weird that she came here to vent about it.
