Gotta love when you ask someone a simple question and people feel the need to butt in and give their 2 cents...especially when it is incorrect. Ugh! Way to put me in a mood on my day off.

I never said it ruined my day but thanks for the creative interpretation. I did say it put me in a mood. Am I not allowed to have my mood altered when someone says something to me that I did not like?

I was out looking at shoes earlier and speaking with the salesperson about if a pair was available in a wider width. I have hobbit feet (sans hair) and sadly the super narrow styles are great if I am going to sit all day and not actually stand up. So anyhow, this other shopper just pops on over and suggests I go up a half size or so. Then starts talking about Grandma's orthopedics. Sorry lady, I wasn't talking to you. I do not want granny shoes and going up a half size makes them hurt MORE because your feet are slippity sliding back and forth in the shoe. Sorry that the unsolicited advice of some random person was not well recieved when they were not even a part of the interaction.

Is there something in the water lately? It seems the pissanty attitudes I have seen all weekend have carried over to Monday. Did I miss the memo?

So maybe it didn't ruin your day. But it bothered you enough to come over to SB and randomly start a post with some vague and ambiguous rant, with no explanation as to what you were talking about.

Do you just walk up to random people IRl life and mention minor annoyances in passing? Either way, my point was not that anoying things shouldn't change your mood, but you can't control what other people do, so being put into a "mood" by someone who probably meant to be helpful, is all on you.

Most misunderstood sport EVER in America. It's getting huge here due to local clubs coming up but still, very few people even know a single thing about the sport other than "It's like football without pads." Ridiculous. Ruggers can be both dirty players and civilized at the same time.

Seriously, I'd watch. My only exposure to the sport has been that Matt Damon movie, but it sounds way more interesting than football these days.

Huns Rugby runs your area. You should look them up. A bit close to finals, but maybe there is a match yet you can catch.

I work in customer service. I think more people scowled than smiled. This put the other gals I work with in grumps and bled down.
It does seem that TK gals have also been a bit more cranky as well. Sorry that I don't have specific examples, but I don't feel like trolling the boards for quotes. I usually get a laugh out of the digs but these last few days it has seemed a bit more harsh than on average.
I am sure this woman wasn't trying to be a pain and I was gracious about it. And really...who is anyone here to dictate how someones moods work? For real! :-p

I don't think it's so much cranky as much as we don't want to put up with the BS as much anymore.

I work in Customer Service too. That's what happens when you choose this profession. 9 customers out of 10 will be assholes, but sometimes the 1 will make up for it.

ETA: And no one is trying to tell you how your moods should work.

When you're having a bad day, ask yourself: Are you REALLY having a bad day? Or did you have a bad 5 minutes, and carried it throughout the rest of your day?

Op, there are such places for vague rants, like livejournal and FB, where people who know you might be interested in them. I don't understand why you thought it appropriate to vent here and get pissy with US when we didn't validate you. I think you forgot to take your happy pill today and need to double up on the dose real quick like.

My bad for sitting at the wrong lunch table. I see people post all sorts of vents here all the time so it was my understanding that it would not turn into such a big shitstorm. I wasn't trying to get anyones panties in a bunch. Calm down girls.
