TV Poll

So, I'm watching Ghost Whisperer, one of my favorite shows, and I was thinking about how much I would love to live the life of the main character, Melinda. This gave me the idea to do a Poll. =)Which TV character's life would you love to have and why?I love anything paranormal, and the fact that she can "talk to earthbound spirits" and help them finish unfinished business and crossover, is right up my alley. I love anything related to detective work as well, so it's like a good mix of the two. Also, she has a killer wardrobe, we share the same fashion sense, the cutest house decorated in my style, and owns an antique store, one of my dream jobs!

Re: TV Poll

  • Charlotte from sex and the city. I love her style and her apartment. Oh, and I love how she has the most loving husband....and she has a dog!

  • Dr. G Medical Examiner.... She's not a fictional TV character... but I find it really interesting that she can figure out the cause of death and almost a mini biography on a person from an autopsy.
  • Dammit I was going to chose Charlotte, Stina!I always admired CJ from West Wing (Allison Janey). Seriously, she is smart, self assured, funny and has an amazingly interesting job. It is not easy being a woman in a man's world and she carried it off with ultimate class, style, and sense of humor.
  • Stina, Charlotte is a great one!Hmmm, I know she isn't a character, but I LOVE Stacy London.  Shopping, dressing people, commercials, etc. etc.  Yes, I would like to be her! I usually do a lot of reality TV.  Maybe something better will come to mind.
  • Rachell from Friends.
  • Megan, guess we both have great taste!Charlotte also has prime real estate. She lives on the UES. I used to live there, but my place was in no way as nice as hers!

  • I'm gonna go with Jay Leno. Also not fictional, but think of all the cool (and crazy) people you would meet. Plus all of the cute animals they bring him.

  • Olivia on Fringe (you'd get to investigate freaky sh!t all the time AND hang out with Pacey a lot, always a plus).orElena from Vampire Diaries (I'm sure I wouldn't be as whiney in her position, and bonus! you have not one but two complicated hot as hell vampires lusting for your attention. (I know, I'm incorrigible)or Sam from SATC because she's just all-round fabulous and I'd love to be unashamedly narcissistic and nympho for little bit ;)

  • Carrie from SATC.

  • Good question. I keep coming up with ones and then finding something about them that I don't like. Like Addison. She's brilliant and pretty and rich, but she works too much and she is incapable of having a good relationship. Meredith is awesome, but she's just too...negative. Boo. Pam is awesome, but I don't want to work at Dunder Mifflin,  nor do I want to have a child. So, I've got nothing is what I'm saying.

  • Hmm, Laugh away but...Blair from Gossip Girl. She's rich, has amazing clothes, lives in NYC, etc. Although her family is kind of the suck.Sookie wouldn't be too bad - I'd get to be will Bill.
  • Unless I can choose Oprah. I'd like to be her, but better, because I wouldn't interrupt my guests all the time and I'd be a little less condescending and knowitally.

  • Maybe Veronica Mars. Or, I hate to say it, any of the girls on Gossip Girl. Holy hell, awesome apartments and tons of money. And hot to boot.

  • Rachel from Friends
  • Pam is awesome, but I don't want to work at Dunder Mifflin, nor do I want to have a child.I was thinking the exact same thing. My first thought went to the Office, but Pam has been BSC lately, not in a funny way IMO. Although hopefully in a few years I'll change my mind about the child part. Also, Charlotte is hot and everything, but she always seemed a little delusional about life to me. And literally pearl clutchy.

  • I don't watch enough shows to know who I would want to be. Just want to say that the life of someone who can hear spirits isn't as glamourous as it is probably portrayed on TV

  • Hmm... since probably 90% of the TV I watch is crime-related, I'm thinking - none?I was going along with one of the Friends gals, too, but they've all got issues I don't want to deal with, so I dunno. Maybe MaryAnn from Gilligan's Island. But then I'd compete with Ginger, so that wouldn't work. When I was a kid, I wanted to be Julie from the Love Boat.  I also saw a costume at the Halloween store for her. That plus Fozzie Bear and Miss Piggy.

I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
  • Is ti sad that I want my house to look like Charlotte's apartment, post mallards?I bought an upholstered bed because I saw hers and thought it looked beautiful. My sister said I was BSC....but I always do think about that beautiful apartment and her pearls. "le sigh"

  • I will take Blair's whole wardrobe thank you very much.
  • Missy, nearly 90% of all shows I watch are crime related too!  It was hard thinking of someone I'd want to be!
  • Stina -- Don't feel bad....Fi is moving in with me in December, and so we're planning on re-doing a lot of things in my house. Anyway, watching Ghost Whisperer has inspired me to start dragging Fi antiquing.
  • I will take Blair's whole wardrobe thank you very much. If you're talking about Blair Waldorf, I guess it doesn't hurt that her mom is a fashion designer!Nice new pic, btw.

  • I don't know why, but I love Jenny from GG. I hate the character, but her style is just so 'on' for me. I love the dark thick eyeliner, although I could NEVER go out like that. It's just so bad that it's good.

  • thanks Mery!I lurve Jenny too, but it scares me how thin she has gotten, not that she had anything on her to begin with.Serena makes me want to strangle myself with one of Blair's hair ribbons though, she is horrid.
  • Not a character but a TV show host....Heidi Klum. She seems to have it all....beauty, body, style, loving husband and great family, succesful businesses, and she is funny and kind of dorky and goofy. Perfect.

  • I want to be Bones (Dr. Brennan). I should have been an anthropology major. I want to be a successful author who solves crimes and works with the FBI!
