My hair needs help holding curls.

I have read and understand that the hair tends to hold the curl better when it is more dirty.

But even that is not enough. I got my hair styled a few days ago and whatever mousse and hairspray he used worked.

Wondering what products everyone else uses when they curl their hair?

I love aquage products but you can only buy this in salons. Their working spray is awesome! My hair is straight and keeps a curl using these products!

I've recently used Bumble & Bumble "does it all" styling spray.  I've actually only used it once but it held the curl - I woke up the next morning with some in my hair still, and I have the kind of hair that generally falls flat by the end of the night.  Also, I've been using the "Topstyler" hair clips rather than rollers or curling irons - I'd been eying it forever on those informercials... and bought one when I saw the Bed Bath & Beyond had it!

I highly recommend using Hot Tools curling irons and flat irons.  They get so much hotter than any other iron I've ever used and that helps the curls last so much longer.  Just watch your fingers and ears.  I've burned myself before when using them in a hurry but they are totally worth it.  Check out a site like Amazon instead of buying them at a beauty supply store where they are way more expensive.  I have the 3/4" curling iron and find it perfect for both tighter curls and looser waves.  The 1 1/2" barrel is a little too big for my now shorter hair but works great for long hair (like to your mid-back).  I find that a little hairspray goes a long way and don't need any other special products if I use the Hot Tools products.  Good luck!
