I don't know if this question belongs here, really, but since you rec so many other products, I figured I'd give it a try. I feel very bashful typing this, but my inner thighs tend to touch when I wear skirts or dresses. It gets annoying and if I walk around a lot, I get really irritated skin.

Does anyone else have this problem? I'm concerned about it for the wedding, as it is a summer wedding and will probably be hot. If so, what do you do to prevent it? Embarassed

I have this problem. I usually ignore it and build up a resistance, but that's honestly my lazy and horribe solutiton. If you're wearing any shapewear (spanxs or whatever) try to get some that go down your thighs. Bike shorts are also a good friend. I've used baby powder to help things out, it's a temporary solution, but works. I've also read that you can use something like petroleum jelly to keep your things lubricated so they don't cause as much friction when they rub, but i've never tried it.

Baby powder is your friend.  Keep a little bottle of it if you tend to get extra sweaty.   Also, any anti-chafing creme works...but baby powder doesn't smell like anything while a creme might. Also....if you have never used the creme...I would def recommend a test night for it. You don't want a rash!

Thanks so much! I had never heard of the baby powder thing.
It seems like a better solution that creams, and I like the smell of baby powder, so that's a plus!

Girl, everyone's thighs rub together.  It does not matter how small you are. You shouldn't feel bashful about it.

Baby powder is a good suggestion.

I have heard that anti-perspirant works?!! I have already thought of this, so I can think of solutions, problem is.. its about 30 out right now, so I wouldn't know if it would work in the hot humid summer!

It's why I don't wear skirts much. Last time I did - we had a rough valentines last year looking for the statue of liberty boat. We walked round that area for 5/6 miles (me in heeled boots and that damn skirt) because he wouldn't ask for directions.

I couldn't walk properly for weeks and it wasn't just my feet. I had open wounds on the inside of my thighs.

Baby powder bugs me because it gets all over your clothes. I usually just wear trousers all the time, and let people tell me off for it.

Secret white solid antiperspirant. Only thing that keeps me from getting oh so rashy there.

I second asimons!  That Monistat stuff is fantastic for chafing issues on legs, and it doesn't have a smell.  I've used it on my thighs and on my underarm/side boob area when I work out in a tank top (I don't know why those areas rub together so much when I run!)  I used it as a face primer for a long time too!

And yeah, no reason to be bashful.  I'm what my friends refer to as "obnoxiously tiny" and mine still touch.

There's a sort of anti-chafing gel for runners called body glide that works well and has no scent.  Also non-staining to clothes.  I use it for this issue and on my heels to keep away blisters when hiking. :)

guys use baby powder, why can't we? LOL. I'd recommend Monistat chafing gel (forms a non-powdery powder-type barrier.... if that makes sense). I wouldn't recommend using deodorant b/c it actually says on the label, only use in underarms.

I also LOVE reebok bicycle shorts. They come in all different lengths, and you can find comparable types at discount stores like tjmaxx or marshalls. :)

Gold Bond body powder is pretty amazing for reducing/preventing irritation.

This is yet another reason why I love my spanx, they really help prevent this!
