Did you DIY your wedding day makeup?  Planning to?  List your products here and what you used and how it worked on your wedding day (or what you will be using). Post pics of your wedding day or DIY trial if you have them.  So many brides these days prefer to do their own makeup, I thought it would be helpful to list some resources for those that are looking.  Thanks!

I'm planning to do DYI makeup and using a very controversial makeup, LOL!

All Estee Lauder Makeup & Skin Care:

Idealist Skin Finishing Pore Minimizer
Day Wear Plus Moisturizer: Oily Skin formula
Double Wear Foundation in Pebble
Lucidity Pressed Powder: Medium
Double Wear Eye Shadow Primer Base
Double Wear Eyeliner in Coffee
Lash Primer Plus
Double Wear Mascara: Black
Eyeshadow: Unsure of colors I want to use, torn between a few combinations
Chestnut Lip Liner
Double Wear Lipgloss: Strong Coffee

The pics below are from 2 separate trials & both days I had done my makeup because I knew I wanted fitting pictures:

Good idea Stephi!

I used:
MAC Studio Fix Fluid (I didn't end up really liking this.  I was having a LOT of trouble finding a foundation that really kept my oil at bay without causing any flash, and I made an impulse buy the night before the wedding. Oops.  It was "okay" but not really what I would have loved.  They were out of my Estee Lauder color otherwise, I would have purchased that)

Eyes:
Urban Decay: Sin
Urban Decay: Strip
Victoria's Secret: It was an old one that had some black and greys in it.
Lash Stilletto Waterproof mascara:  I LOVE this stuff.  I have long, thing eyelashes and this separated like nothing else.

Lips:
Cover Girl Outlast  color 549 (sorry I don't have the name, that's just the number on the bottom. This lip color lasted all day, with just a few of the "chapstick" applications to keep my lips feeling moist. No transfer at all!)

False eyelashes from Walgreens!

I also used a bit of bronzer and a really lovely rose color for my cheeks, but it would be no use telling you the brands because they were purchased in Italy and not sold in the US.

Pics from the trial:

Day of results:

I actually think my trial turned out better than the day of.  Oops. lol

I think you might have to make this sticky so you get more responses.

I don't have anything to post yet, but am really interested in what products people use, because I am not a huge make-up person, and I know I'll need good stuff for the day of!

I am really not the makeup type, I usually wear not make up, I am however doing my own make up, I don't have pictures but I do have suggestions! I went to the clinique make-up counter ( had an appointment) and had them show me products and how to apply them! it was great they worked with me to find just the right look and then showed me step by step how to apply it ( I took notes no joke). I then purchased the makeup and I have practiced a few times, it looks just perfect! I highly recomend going to a trusted makeup artist to help you create a look! Also it will be easy for me to touch up the look since I understand how it is applied in the first place. On a side note I used clinque because that is who my sisterin law used for her wedding makeup, her was great as well, and I knew the artist was good and I knew I could trust them since my sis in laws was great!

I will probably do my own make up, because I've been watching Kandee Johnsons's tutorials on youtube. She gives you a list of things to purchase from local make up and drug stores, how to apply, etc. She points out certain things like "this colour doesn't photograph well" or "these areas of your face tend to get red after a few drinks". Those extra tips really help, as it is the most photographed day of your life. Everyone should check out her tutorials, whether you want to look boho natural or super vamp chic, she has many different looks to try.

I'm doing my own makeup with Temptu Airbrush System. I bought that system over Labor Day off of ebay for cheaper then in the Sephora stores, and i've used it everyday since then. I'm really getting the hang of it. For a matte look i top it off with some bare minerals Mineral Veil.

I did my own makeup and used all Merle Norman products: (listed in order with colors)
Foundation Primer
Foundation - Aqua Balance L26
Concealer - Nectar
Eyeshadow - Rose
Eyeliner - Galaxy
Mascara (I actually used Mary Kay brand)
Eyebrow Defining Powder - Light Brown
Blush - Rosey Outlook
Lip Liner - Nude
Lip Color (was something drugstore brand, Maybelline I believe)
Pressed Powder - ML40

I was not an everyday make-up wearer, so the colors chosen here were for a natural, but pretty look.
Here's the only picture I really have so far since I was just married (should be able to click to enlarge?):

I used a Laura Mercier concealer, her primer, a mineral foundation to combat the shine, Mac Pink blush and also a bronzer, and used lots of tans, golds and browns on my eyes.  I used a dark brown gel liner and put pencil over it and a peachy lip gloss.  I also used a powder and pencil for my eyebrows.  Don't forget your eyebrows!  I used a heavy hand for the pictures...and I think my makeup still looked very natural.  I watched lots of You Tube videos to practice doing my eye makeup for the big day!

Although I haven't done my makeup trial yet, I have an idea of what I want and really I am thinking of doing it myself, but here an idea that I did on myself. still adjusting somethings though.
I used MAC and Tarte products.

I'm late to this, but I did my own and was really happy with the way it turned out!

I don't remember all the specific products, but I know I used Clinique powder foundation, Sonia Kashuk concealer (from Target!), Rimmel bronzer, Clinique eye makeup and lipstick, and Loreal mascara.

I recommend bare minerals for sure. It goes on flawlessly and looks so natural. I've been using it for five years now. I also love Maybelline lash discovery mascara. It's better than any expensive mascara I've tried. It has a mini-brush so it covers lashes really well. I also love Mac eyeliner. It's a pencil and smudges easily but sets after a few seconds and won't wear off until you remove it with eye make up remover. Hope that helps!
p.s. Bare Escentuals (bare minerals) stores will do your make up for FREE (no purchase required. just fyi

I loooove her tutorials. She has a ton on youtube. I follow her blog sometimes. She holds Glaminars too, I would love to go to one. She seems very knowledgable.

*Chanel Pro Lumiere foundation
*Chanel Double Perfection Powder
*Benefit "Hula" bronzer
*Bobbi Brown blush "pale pink" w/ Chanel's limited edition pink shimmer powder on top
*all the eye shadows were M.A.C. and Laura Mercier (if you want specific names, let me know)
*I bought cheap false eyelashes, I forget the brand but I loved them
*M.A.C. lipglass in Purr
* I also mixed Benefit's "Jiffy Tan" with body lotion and used that all over my arms & back, I put it on a few hours before the ceremony and it set so well that NOTHING rubbed off on my dress.
*Chanel eye brow duo in "blonde"

I'm a big fan of Loreal True Match make up if you are looking for less expensive drugstore makeup.  Sometime next year I'm going to start off as a Mary Kay consultant and will make the switch to all Mary Kay products (right now just use a few).  The MK Velocity skin care is amazing, so is Satin Hands, and the make up foundation give really good coverage without looking caked on.  Plus, it's easy for you to apply by yourself at home.

Just FYI, alot of brides do not recommend Bare Minerals on the wedding day saying it will not photograph well.  I have no experience with it myself, however.

Oooh I like seeing what you guys have put together! Everyone looks so beautiful. I am planning on doing my own makeup that day. I am kind of a makeup girl anyway, so I should be fine. I was debating between mineral foundation or an airbrush/aerosol foundation. Interesting to note that minerals don't typically photograph well... I tend to breakout, especially when stressed (i.e. wedding day!), so I would like some good coverage. Any ideas?

Some of my favorites....

Bare Minerals-Powder foundation, blush and faux tan bronzer.

MAC Paint Pots-Great base! They hold your eye shadow on ALL day. I use Rubenesque

MAC Pigment- Nice color, really sticks well to the paint pots and another shadow that last's all day long! I love vanilla.

MAC Eye Shadow- Knight Divite is a great smokey color

Sephora brushes work well for blending eye shadow.

Clinique- Long Last Glosswear SPF 15-This lip gloss isn't sticky and has lasting shine!

Any suggestions on mascara and eye liner?

I would LOVE to do airbrush makeup I've heard amazing things! I just don't know if I even should do it, I rarely (knock on wood) have skin problems and I feel like it would make my face look really flat.

I went and had a professional do airbrush on my skin to see how it looks. I am very fair-complexioned and have sensitive skin, and the airbrush looked ORANGE on me. No kidding. After wearing for itnfor five minutes, I felt my skin starting to break out.
