Hi! So my bridesmaids are wearing black and I really didn't want that for the flower girl, so I was thinking white dress with a black sash for the flower girl. My dress is diamond white so it makes more sense for her dress to match mine, as opposed to being shocking white, right?

That sounds good. I had an ivory dress, BMs wore brown, and FGs wore white.

It sounds fine. Nobody will really notice if her dress is a different shade from yours.

I wouldn't worry about the shade of white. Nobody will be comparing you to your flower girl.

With the sash, I like it. Personally I'm a bit freaked out by the "mini bride" trend in flower girls, but that splash of color makes all the difference (and maybe I'm the only one it bothers in the first place).

i've never seen a flower girl not match the bride, not always the exact color but always in white or ivory like the bride.

I have seen some brides dress the flower girl as a "mini-bride" and some more like the bridesmaids. I have never liked or understood having a mini version of the bride, though. I don't think there would be anything wrong with having your flower girl in black to match your BMs. But if you choose to dress her in white, I don't think it would look bad if the color was off from your dress and I think the sash would be pretty.
