So my Godmother/Aunt works for Geneva watch company and is getting us a discount on Kenneth Cole watches for the groomsmen and Breil Jewlery for the Bridesmaids.  But I have no idea what to get

So my Godmother/Aunt works for Geneva watch company and is getting us a discount on Kenneth Cole watches for the groomsmen and Breil Jewlery for the Bridesmaids. But I have no idea what to get my parents and his parents. Our photographer is making them little albums but I dont know what else to get. My parents are paying for most of the wedding, his parents are paying for some things so I dont know if i should get equal gifts. Since we live about 25 min out of NYC I was thinking maybe Broadway tickets and a giftcard for dinner out in the City, as my parents love going out in the city. But his parents live in Tennesse so I dont know what to do for them.

Or I was thinking maybe getting each set of parents a lenox or Mikasa picture frame. I dont know, im all over the place...

I think you are on the right track. We could only afford to give our parents $25 g/c's although we are getting them a picture of us with them at the wedding as well.

I've seen a lot of girls just do the album so if you are already doing that, I don't see why you are getting them something else. But the other ideas you have sound great as well.

I think the broadway tickets sound like an amazing gift!

You don't have to match dollar for dollar, but the gifts should be roughly equal. It's a thank you gift, not partial repayment for spending money on the wedding.

We bought FMIL a mini netbook. We got it on Black Friday at a great price. We are buying my parents a gift certificate to a really nice restaurant about equal to what we paid for the computer. His mom isn't contributing to the wedding at all and my parents are paying for the reception hall. So while their contributions are different, we are spending the same amount on each.

And you can spend what you can afford to spend. If you just want to get them a nice frame each and then give them the photo album later with the extra print for the frame, I'm sure they will appreciate it. Give what you can afford to give.

We're going to Disneyland for our Honeymoon, so we're going to surprise the ILs and my parents by getting them Disney picture frames with one of our wedding photos inside. We'll get them other gifts too, but that's just an idea.
