My fiancé and I have decided not to have bridesmaids and groomsmen in our wedding. We are going to have our nieces and nephew be apart of the wedding. We will have my 3 year old niece (flower girl), 5 year old nephew (ring bearer), and an almost 1 year old niece or nephew (who will ride in a little cart and just look cute). My problem is we will also have my 9 year old niece and cousin. I think they are too old to be called flower girls but I don't want to label them as Jr. Bridesmaids either. Can anyone think of another title we could give them? Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!!

I am racking my brain and all I can come up with is bridesmaid, which you said you don't want.  Maybe you could just call them the "wedding party"?

I am "deaf-initely" one of a kind.

I don't think they're too old to be flower girls. They don't have to do the actual basket of flowers thing, they could just carry bouquets or pomanders.

Why don't you want to call them junior bridesmaids?

If you're not comfortable with the word "bridesmaid," do as Edie said and just refer to them all as the wedding party. They don't need individual titles.

Let them be bridesmaids. There are no limits on attendants, and it doesn't take that much maturity to walk down the aisle and smile.

"Junior" is pointless. It's already obvious that they're younger than the adults.

Don't assign them to herd the younger kids. That's just being a glorified babysitter.

They're too old to be flower girls when they tell you they think that's a baby job.  Ask them. They may even come up with another idea.
