Geez Louise

The wind just started blowing crazy all over the place. We are about to get a storm, so I took Monty outside to beat the rain. During the 60 seconds it took him to find an appropriate spot in the yard to be, I watched a small tree across the street get completely uprooted and knock out a section of their porch and railing. WTF? I didn't think it was blowing THAT hard. Monty really is tripping. He wants in my lap at the computer desk.

EAB, I beg to differ. When I lived in DC, there was a summer where several of the trees on my street fell...out of nowhere...onto cars parked on the street. It seemed strange until I found out that all of the trees on my street were balsa trees.  Not the sturdiest of trees out there.

The ones on my street are oaks, and maples.  Good hardy trees.   Buddha, Monty will be very helpful.  He can help design things.

look at his cute little face!  he's clearly trying to protect you from any additional falling trees
