AK, how did the interview go? What was it for?

LC, I hate classes like that. The professor for my nutrition class does the same thing-and it's an 8 AM class. What's the point?

Kelly, that stinks, but beaches are always nice! How is H doing? And that's sad for your friend. Putting my childhood cat to sleep had to be one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.

Yeah, she was super attached to her dog. They tried everything, but it was finally time to let go today. I selfishly wish she was not coming to work tomorrow, cause I'm going to cry when I see her.

I'm here, monitoring supper and adoring my cats. Also, I'm trying to decide whether to try to push the rest of the way toward getting my gold badge tonight. I realized this morning that I was only a hundred away so I've been kind of a PW today trying to get there.

We thought about getting a cat. Even went to see a few rescues. Then the guy at the last rescue actually told me the truth. The pythons around here will actively hunt the cat and do what it needs to do to get inside to eat the cat.
Now, I know there are pythons around here, but right now, they are not interested in the house and I prefer to keep it that way. I would die if I went to open the door and found a python curled against it.

Jill- I thought it went really well! It's for a Sr. Recruiter job with a Fortune 500 company, covering all open positions in a multi-state territory. It's pretty exciting. Last week I interviewed with the direct supervisor, and I was called back for a 2nd interview (which was tonight) to meet with a peer and the local team. They really grilled me, but I still feel it went well. I'm pretty excited!

aMrs- I'm trying to get caught up too. I've definitely been AWOL lately. I'm mildly curious what happened with lizaminelli but I'm pretty sure it's from last Friday's FFF and I just don't have the patience to read all the way through it. LOL!

I.would.die. Incidentally, if FI stays with his current company (which is a pretty big if right now) he's scheduled for a trip to the land of the Aussies in December. I have no idea what part of Australia though.

The Lizaminelli thing was just really stupid. She got all whiny and pretty much told us that we'd ruined her wedding planning experience that she'd been waiting years to have. It was all very dramatic and unnecessary. It all started when she made a thread about stealing a bottle of wine at some art opening where there were 40 guests and only like 8 bottles of wine or something, and got subsequently flamed for it.

Hi aMrs! I agree with you about not attracting pythons into your house. And I think it may be time for me to get a damn gold badge already.

The Liza thing was indeed puzzling. Not like I ever actually had any conversations with her in the first place, but that was definitely a quick flameout for a Knot Career.

What is the UP? To me, it means Union Parish, which is where I grew up. But LA is the only state with parishes, so I know it can't be that.

UP = Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

H's family owns property/a cabin up there (and has for 60+ years)... with this storm that went through apparently a tree fell on the cabin. So H is going up with his stepdad to meet with the insurance guy, and cut down some trees. He spent all day getting his chainsaws ready. LOL!
