So after my FI leaves this morning he calls me saying he just got a call from his dad. His dad has a friend that works at the church we're getting married at. His dad says this person called asking why our wedding is cancelled!?! She said the calendar had our names crossed off!! The office isn't open yet so I'm freaking out! Cross your fingers pray its just a mix up!

    Omg! I'm blowing up their phones & no one is answering so I go to their website & find that the office isn't open on Fridays & isn't open till Monday!!!  I don't want to be freaking out about this all weekend.  I'm trying really hard not to cry right now.  I found some email addresses & sent them an email so hopefully someone will get back with me today.  My wonderful FI just dropped off a blank check & said give them whatever they want.  But still if it's a money thing we were going to pay it at our scheduled meeting!!  And even then why didn't anyone call us?!?!?

    I am sure that it is just a mixup.  Maybe someone else called to cancel their wedding and they got it mixed up?  I am sure if they were cancelling on you, they would have to call.  Also, if they aren't open until Tuesday that means there is no chance of someone else calling and taking your date/time.  Could you dad's friend contact someone at the church and have them call you so you can get this taken care of today?

    I'm sure it's a mix up and it will work out.  Our priest just left our parish (argh!) but we got the new one to do our wedding (not my first choice, but glad to have a priest at all!).  Things will work out!

    Thank you.  Yes it was a big mix up on the lady who told his Dad this stuff's part.  It was an Aug 4th wedding that cancelled the Preacher called & assured me everything is fine if we still want to get married he still wants to marry us!
