I have always said I don't want a theme that my theme of my wedding is just that a wedding! BUT....as I move along I have noticed a small theme arrising and I am not sure if this one is out there too

I have always said I don't want a theme that my theme of my wedding is just that a wedding! BUT....as I move along I have noticed a small theme arrising and I am not sure if this one is out there too much.
1. My wedding dress looks as if its tiered the entire dress, overlapping fabric to make "stripes" to some extent.
2. Our cake (which my Fiance picked out without seeing my dress!) has overlapping pieces of foundant layered with ribbon to give it a "stripe" look.
3. I just purchased ribbbon for bouquets that ended up being blue with a blue stripe on the outside of it.
4. Looking at card boxes and like the idea of stripping it.
SO.....we can see the theme is stripped.....what do you think? Too random for a wedding? I could always add stripped ties for the groomsmen and do something fun with stripes for the invitations (we are making our own)
