NWR: Deodorant problem

Ok so this is so NWR, but I thought you ladies may have some tips. Apparently after YEARS of using the same deodorant (Secret) I am now allergic to it? But only in one armpit, hahaha. It's awesome. It's all red and quite painful. :( Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows (1) Why this happened? (2) Do you have any suggestions for others to try that work for [apparently] sensitive skin? I read that it could be the scent in the deodorant, but the thing is I use have one at my house and one at FI's house, they are both Secret but different scents and this has happened after using both of them, so I don't know.... maybe it's something they use to make the scent? It's very painful & annoying, I can tell you that much. TIA :)

    I actually had that happen to me with Secret - used it for years and then all of a sudden it was painful... weird about only one tho? I switched between degree and dove for the last few years. Most recently, I've been using the Dove with prolipil (or whatever it's called) that helps to reduce hair. It rocks and is totally working! The rose scent is really nice btw :)

    It could be just a build up over time.  I would use something like Uncle Tom's for awhile because it does not have aluminum.  You could have a build up of aluminum in your system that is causing irritation.  Good luck!

    Thanks ladies :) I went and got the Tom's of Maine and that crystal deodorant this evening, and I also read to use hydrocortisone cream first to try and heal it up. Hopefully I will like one of those, I read good things about both of them so we'll see! Thanks again!
