Wedding Invitations & Paper

XP: How to address invitations

My fiance and I used to have two roommates, who happen to still live together. They're not officially or openly dating, but we've always kind of thought they were. It seems wasteful and stupid to send two separate invitations to the same address, but I know etiquette dictates that we do. We're lost...help?

Re: XP: How to address invitations

  • There's no need to waste an extra invitation. Put both their full names on the invitation.

    This is completely incorrect.

If they're not in an established relationship send the two invitations.
  • I'd just bite the bullet and send 2 invites.  What if they aren't dating, and get the idea that you assume they are by the way you address the invite?

I know it seems silly to send 2 invites to the same address, but if you aren't 100% sure they are together you should really send 2.
