I originally planned an early September 2012 wedding with fuschia and orage as my colors. It turns out, however, that I can't get into my dream venue until October, and in my state of South Dakota this is definately FALL. How can
I keep my idea of pinks and oranges, but keep it from looking too summery? (I know everyone says "It's your day, so do whatever you want", but I don't want it to look completely out of place for the season.)
Possibly magenta, oranges and reds, a warmer feel? Thanks!!

I went to a pink and orange wedding last fall...it was gorgeous. She actually used orange twinkle lights, the girls were all in pink with orange and pink flowers (fall flowers like orange mums, golden mums, and pink asters), and the guys all had orange vests and ties. I think if you tie some brown into it (maybe even the Palermo tux from Tuxedo Junction-it's a dark chocolate brown) you will be very "fall like"! Good luck!

Oh my gosh...I just saw this, remembered this post and just had to put it up. You could so use orange munchkin pumpkins instead of the white ones, or a combination of the two...and the "right" shade of pink/fuschia to go with your other stuff!
And are some of my favorite bouquets that I've seen!

I'm doing an October 2012 wedding in Vermont and am mixing and matching different hues of orange -- from peach to darker orange. I think the peach/pink tones definitely soften up the oranges and add a little femininity.

We are getting married in October as well, and our colors are (burnt)Orange and Pink(fuschia). I don't think it is "too summery" at all =)You can do plenty with those colors to make it "feel like fall". I think so, at least. My girls are going to have ornage and pink flowers that are considered fall flowers...I haven't worked out the venue details for decor yet but I have some ideas....when I figure them out for sure, I will be happy to share....I'm thinking white tabel clothes with ornage and pink table runner of some sort....I am not sure yet...I am confident you (and the rest of us pink and orange fall wedding ladies) will figure out detials (and share  )
