So I just had this idea for our wedding. We met at a ballroom and swing dancing is a huge part of our life. Soooo I came across a picture of a dance card when looking at a history book of the ballroom

So I just had this idea for our wedding. We met at a ballroom and swing dancing is a huge part of our life. Soooo I came across a picture of a dance card when looking at a history book of the ballroom we met at. Wouldn't it be cool to incorporate this somehow into our wedding?! I just don't know where! Any ideas! I thought maybe the menu card could have a design like its a dance card. Or, since we are having a lot of our dancing friends come to the wedding, we could incorporate it by giving them dance cards and having a dance lesson in the beginning of the evening? I just don't know! I thought about using it as my dance card and folks could sign my card in order to get a dance with the bride. I dont want it to be like a dollar dance though. Thoughts?

I was going to say they could be escort cards too! But the idea of the dance card for the bride is a pretty cute and unique one too.

the dance cards could be used for the escort cards, place cards, or menus,
you could include them with your invitations for people to RSVP song requests...
you could use them as gift tags of some sort on the favours....
that's all I've got :P

You could use them as programs. Song 1 is the processional, Song 2 is the vows, Song 3 is the recessional, you know...?

I really like your idea of using a dance card for yourself! You would have a sweet momento of all the people who danced with you at your wedding. You could also give all of the ladies their own dance cards to fill with a little note explaining how they worked. We did something similar with fans and 1800s flirtation instructions.

Thanks so much for all the ideas! I think I just might try to do the dance card bit with the ladys! ...still debating. If not, I'll try doing a mock-up of the menu card like that.
