Hey gals, I'm new to this board. I am getting married July 20, 2012 at a turn of the century train station. My dress and the invites also evoke the vintage feel (1920's, I'd say). What are some other ways I can get that vintage feel? I hate using the word "theme" because it reminds me of something cheeky. Thanks for your input!

I thought about playing some ragtime music during the cocktail hour. For centerpieces, my mom and I have been scouring antique and thrift stores for funky silver pieces (like footed vases or teapots) for flowers. Each table will be different.

I love the ragtime music idea. We played some during our cake cutting and it was really fun. You might also be able to add vintage touches with your BM dresses if your girls would go for that, or in your veil or jewelry. Table numbers are an easy way to add vintage touches-- for example, we did Victorian silhouettes for ours.
