Hello ladies!

I am planning a Sept. 2011 wedding, around a peacock color scheme. So far, I have picked out bridesmaid gowns in a purple color (bordeaux to be exact), and will be making bobby pins w/ peacock feathers attached for the girls. I am wondering how I can incorporate the peacock colors into the reception tables w/o making it look sloppy from having too many colors (table linens will be ivory). Also, I am trying to keep the cost down. Any and all ideas (and pictures!) would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all so very much!

Here are two inspiration boards I found that are just beautiful!

I think adding pops of peacock colours to your ivory wedding would be elegant and probably help to keep costs down.

Also, if you add peacock feathers to just about any bouquet, I think it would look lovely!

Here's a nice colour inspiration image, combining purple and peacock colours:

Ditto everything that Nukke just said. If you keep the # of dark/bold colors or feathers to a minimum and strategically place your feathers, it will probably draw more attention to them vs having everything be color overload. And will save you some dough. But if you like big and bold, just ignore what I say =)

I really love this idea for shoes

I am getting married in August and am also doing a peacock theme. I'm using feathers in my centerpieces and also in the boquets. I got some feathers at Hobby Lobby when they were having a 50% off sale. I think they were about a dolar each for the really big ones. I also ordered some online from www.continentalfeathers.com. Hope that helps!

I just discoverd the peacock theme.  First I was going for a white and really pale purple wedding, but now the bold colors seem amazing to me lol.  Anyway I would like the table linens to be in the bold color pallet ( royal blue, dark pinks, dark purples, a bit of green and use touches of gold and candle light for my centerpieaces) but I know it could be a bit strong on the eyes. So I was thinking of using white flowers instead of using dark colored flowers as well.  Does anyone think that could work? or should I stick to the theme completly and use dark colored flowers too?  BTW my wedding is with a view of old san juan, el morro and the ocean (Puerto Rico) and it would take place at sunset.  So thats why I think the bold colors would look better than the pale ones I thought of first. Does anyone agree or have a better idea? im open to suggestions even if they are completly different ideas =)

Stick to one or two colors from the peacock feathers, perhaps teal and purple, or green and purple. Or even just the white and purple with peacock feathers.
