Hey everyone! So I am getting married April 28, 2012 and my theme is gone with the wind meets the notebook. I'm trying to get the vintage southern belle feel. After talking with FH we decided to use table names for the reception but I can't seem to come up with any good ideas. I think civil war battle names might be a little over the top but i'm not excluding that option just yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I am not familiar with The Notebook but are there details from both movies that you could incorporate as table names?

You could do table numbers with quotes under the number
1
"If you're a bird I'm a bird."

I love Gone with the Wind, that said, it is an entirely different style from The Notebook. I think you'll need to decide which aspects of each you want to incorporate into your theme in order to not make it too confusing.
As far as table names go, if you want to use the Gone with the Wind theme, the ideas that immediately come to mind are character names, landmark names such as Tara, Twelve Oaks, etc., and I love the quote idea from the PP. good luck!

@romamor4 you are definitely right. they are different styles. But what i meant was like the whole weathly south type of deal. The old south where the daughters were the southern belle. I LOVE the quote idea!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT IDEA!!!!!! Thank you guys so much!!!

Ha small world! I am getting married April 14, 2012 and have southern belle/Gone With The Wind theme as well! I think the quotes are a fantastic idea. Maybe some green (either light, dark, or a combo) for the tables (Think Scarlett's dress). I am having touches of gold to hint at the granduer of the time. To balance out te dark green, you can lighten it up with the centerpieces to make it a softer effect ala The Notebook. Great references to inspire your wedding! I look forward to hear how the planning is going!
