Hi ladies,

I could use some help with shoes.  We're having a 20/30s inspired wedding and I have a great dress (nicole miller!) and a little hat/cage veil.  But now i need to get the dress altered and i'm having issues finding shoes.

Fi suggested having my bm (who are wearing black btw) wear black/white wingtip inspired shoes.  I'm having issues finding them bc they have to be afordable and comfortable for foot isse people.  thoughts?

AND i don't know what shoes i should get.  wingtips too?  or just white?  or maybe black?  BUT they must be comfortable - no hooker heels or platforms or other evil shoes like that.

Help!

For you I would do something like this:

I LOVE your dress, by the way.

If you're looking for comfy, check out www.dancestore.com. They sell swing shoes and are really comfortable, affordable and they have some cute styles. I'd recommend the t-strap for you for sure.

If you're looking for more of a selection, I'd try a place like www.endless.com

They have a free return policy, too, which means you can keep sending them back and exchanging them for either the right size or something you like better.  It takes the worry out of buying shoes online.

I second endless. They have tons and tons of shoes in all sizes and varying widths. I looked everywhere I could possibly think of before finding endless and easily finding a shoe in the right style and color.

Sometimes the Victorian Trading Co has vintage shoes from different eras-- you could try them, too. I have also found vintage repro shoes at DSW and Francescas.

I bought my vintage wedding shoes off of etsy...  So if you hit the problem where you can't find anything vintage you like enough new and in your price range, try there and searching something like "(color) pumps" etc.  :)

Really love the shoes the first PP posted, though!

SO ADORABLE:

They look like they'd be reasonably comfy with the medium heel and wide-enough toe box.
