be confusing?
If you're planning a wedding between March and May, here's the place to chat with other spring brides.
I like the winter theme for my wedding. like the pretty lights that look like frosted trees and just the ideas of a winter theme. however, our wedding is planned for May 27th. Would it be weird to ha

I like the winter theme for my wedding. like the pretty lights that look like frosted trees and just the ideas of a winter theme. however, our wedding is planned for May 27th. Would it be weird to have a winter themed wedding when it is warm and sunny and spring?? We are getting married inside a church and planning the reception at an open building near a river. We are trying to start buying stuff so were just not sure if we need to buy wintery stuff of not. So anything would help. thanks!

I think you should do whatever you want for your wedding, regardless of the date!  You make the wedding day unique and your own by adding personal touches that reflect you and your fiance! Good luck and happy planning!

LOL!  I think that you can tell everyone "We wanted the beauty of winter without the pesky cold!"

I think it's fine, as long as the theme isn't too literal.  I think I might laugh at a fake snowman set up on the edge of the dance floor, but soft, white and sparkly is always pretty.

I love Sarah's idea! More than anything people will notice how happy you look, so I say you go with what you'll love

Okay. Thank you so much! I really like the idea so Im thinking we may go for it. Not alot but I think some of the snowy idea like sarah had! Thanks a lot! My other question is if we are throwing some random wintery idea decorations with our colors we picked, will it look okay still?

I personally would think it's a tad peculiar, but I wouldn't say I hate it or anything. Not something I would do but if you want to, go for it. Definitely start buying things soon because it will probably be harder to find winter themed stuff as it gets closer to spring. You may find some good deals when they start clearing out the winter stuff, but you won't get as much selection and they may not have as many things as you want (ie: you need 20 frosted branches for your tables and they only have 12 left.)

I think it would be funnier if your wedding was in July (Christmas in July) but I think it'll be fun and unique :)

I love the idea. Like pp said soft blues and sparkling whites will look amazing. I am doing fallish colors for a spring wedding. LOL Do what you love.

I might give it the side eye for a minute but at the same time, who cares?  As long as it's fun and beautiful and it's what you like, that's what will really matter!  Everyone will get on board and be in the winter mood for the night.
