We are planning a Nautical themed wedding for April 30th. I'm trying to find someone who is doing something similar to compare/brainstorm with! I still have lots to do and need some creative ideas. Our colors are navy blue and pale yellow. We're getting married at Smith Mountain Lake, in VA. Just trying to come up with some ways to incorporate some nautical ideas. Maybe something with ropes? Anchors? Lanterns will be on many of the tables with tealight candles in them. Just need some thoughts! :)

Hey! I am actually getting married april 28, 2012. I am getting married on the seaport and have tonsss of fun ideas already. Our colors ate navy blue and green. Here are some things we're doing.

Searsuker ties.

We're using rope everywhere. Here are the centerpieces:

I bought a lobster cage for our envelopes (we're going to stain it):

Here's what I want to do for my escort cards:

And we got two oars for people to sign instead of a guestbook, that way we can hang them in our place (which is also nautical themed)

I'm having a nuaitcal themed party...we are getting married at sea so we decided to have a bon voyage celebration party and dinner. We are bring a bit of the Texas Southern to the nautical be having BBQ for dinner, but sea-inspired cocktail food. Our colors are Navy and pumpkin spice (orange).

For the gift table we are taking glass bowls and putting ropes in them and also adding nautical flags to the escort cards.

I love nautical themes! We're not having one but I always love seeing them/going to them! Look on stylemepretty.com. They frequently have nautical theme weddings. We had a nautical themed engagement party up in Canada at a sailing club. My FMIL used little light houses that she found at the Christmas Tree Shoppe as seating cards. They were similar to the ones above. I think they were $1 a piece and adorable! She also had our initials in nautical letters on things/paper around the room.

Hey Ladies!! My fiance and I are getting married on 9-14-12 and we've got a nautical themed wedding. We've also purchased oars for our guests to sign and Im planning on putting them up in our formal living room since I'm in the process of re-doing it in a nautical theme.

We've already sanded them down and they look great!! The plan is for people to sign them and then shellacing them to preserve them. I am concerned about what type of ink to have our guests use which will not bleed into the wood .

Has anyone done this....or have any suggestions?? Thanks~!!
