Oh that's fun!

You could have little cakes and/or maybe a tea set / bigger cake created in the form of a tea set? Or maybe a top hat as the cake / grooms cake.

Alice is my favorite too! I almost was going to have an Alice wedding, but I'm going the woods fairy route instead. Try to have brilliant red rose like the queen had! Perhaps the invitation can be the white rabbit holding the pocket watch with the "I'm late for a very important date!" quote on there. Also, character names as names for our guests tables. I think you can go insane on the cake (really let the Alice art work shine here!)

Use playing card symbols on the escort cards. Perhaps have trumpeters after the couple is introduced. I LOVE the rabbit quote "I'm late..." for a save the date card!!! Too cute.

I agree that the cake is a real place to shine and that classy red roses would be a great addition to the theme but you want to make sure you keep it really whimsical. An all red bouquet might feel too formal. Don't forget "eat me" cupcakes, a tea length gown and a garden backdrop!!

We had lawn games after a brunch wedding. Consider that time of the day (to mid afternoon) and include croquet!

My fiance and I are having a Garden tea-party themed wedding. For our reception, we're having a buffet style tea party. Also we are giving out tea cups as a favor for our guests.

I saw a really cute table scape with tea cups as the centerpieces. They put a variety of tea cups and saucers on differnt levels and put votives on the inside of them. Sooo cute! Good luck!

I am getting married very early nect fall and our wedding is also Alice in Wonderland. My colors are pink and purple (like the cheshire cat). Our invitations have the white rabbit in the corner and say 'you are here by summoned by the queen of hearts..'. We are using intuition roses becuase they have the 'painted' look. The center pieces are a combination of teapots, pink flamingos, teacups, and hats. We are also decorating the venue with chinese paper lanterns to give it the tea party feel. We are having a candy buffet ( my fiances boss owns a candy store) as the party favors and the bags will have tags that say eat me. We may also have hookahs. Hope this helped

My fiance Josh and I are having a completely Alice themed wedding! Its going to be outdoors.

I had trouble planning too! However, I do have a few solid ideas.

I am going to dress as Alice, wearing a blue and white dress, black and/or white mary jane style shoes, and a cute headband.

Josh is going for a mad hatter style- he will wear a printed dress shirt (floral most likely), a vest, a top hat, and slacks.

Our invitations will say "Open Me" and the attire will be formal with a bit of wonder ;)

Instead of a cake, we are opting for cake and cookies that say "eat me".

We've already purchased one hundred mismatched tea cups and saucers for reserved guests' seats. They will be party favors. This is a very cheap idea; we got them at the salvation army for FORTY DOLLARS. Thats amazing, in my opinion. =]

Our bridesmaids and groomsmen will be dressed in card colours; black,white, and red. I will also try to incorporate these colours into the wedding and into our outfits to make it more cohesive. I think my mother in law will be the Queen of Hearts, and my brother and sister will be Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.

Basically, make is WONDERful! Assign characters to people! Have red and white roses! Make it surreal. It should be fun.

When trying to come up with a theme for our wedding my fiance Steven actually suggested Alice in wonderland because he knew it was my favorite book. I loved the idea! I'm going for more of a loosely based Alice theme. Bits of Alice will shine through my already garden party setting.

Here's a list of things I'm doing:

-'Steaming' tea pots. Put a bit of dry ice and water inside for and the 'steam' comes out the spout. I'm planing on placing them on the guest book table or at the entrance to the outdoor tent so they wont bother people who are trying to eat.

- Napkin rings tied with old gate keys on ribbon or watches stopped at tea time.

- Mish-mashed vintage tea cups/ pots with floral arrangements in them.

-For favors I'm giving either engraved pocket watches or a tea cup with a candle inside.

Also I'm hoping the grounds keeper at the garden I'm having my wedding at will let me set up a game of croquet so people will have things to do other then dancing.
