Hi,

I am really confussed on what colors I should use, I keep changing my mind!! I am getting married in June 2012. The reception is going to be in a ballroom, I want to have a very elegant, traditional wedding. My bridesmaids dresses are Navy Blue. The current colors that I have are NAVY BLUE, PURPLE, GOLD. Would does colors look alright????

Navy blue can be a little tricky because you don't want it to look dull. Since you are getting married in the summer you want your colors to be reflective of the season. Make sure that the shade of navy you choose is very rich. I am actually seeing a big trend of indigo (a really rich, bright blue) and fuchia. It sounds weird but together the two are gorgeous. Indigo and violet sounds lovely.

I am not sure if I would use all three colors together. I think either blue and purple or blue and gold. I am also getting married in June 2012. I initally chose my colors as apple red and black but added peacock feather accents in the wedding and "peacock" colors to brighten things up. My dress is a light gold/champagne color. I chose to have mostly champagne flowers with my bouquet with pops of red and purple. For my birdesmaids, I chose to have bouquets with mostly red for the black dresses and mostly purple for the red dress. I also worked turquoise hand fans in for the guests (outdoor wedding) and turquoise chinese lanterns. Because I love lavender (the herb) I also worked that into the wedding.

Don't be afraid to combine a multitude of colors.

I am also getting married in June and I am doing Malibu Blue and Coral. I changed my mind several times on the colors, but finally decided on the blue and coral. I think they are very pretty summer colors and go good together. My dress is white and my BMS will be wearing malibu blue with coral sashes.
