So, I won't be getting married for quite some time (as a long engagement is in our future), but i've been contemplating colors lately. I want to have the colors set so that when I actually start the real planning, it'll be one less thing for my indecisive self to fuss over.

The groom wants black tuxes, and since it's one of his only requests i'm holding true to it. He personally wants to wear black on black himself, with a colored tie that we decide on.

I'll be wearing cowboy boots under my dress and the bridesmaids will also be wearing cowboy boots with knee length dresses. The wedding will be summer (tentatively August 1st, 2015 if all goes as planned) themed.

Since the bridesmaids will probably have to wear black cowboy boots (to go with the black tuxes) any suggestions for summer colors? I contemplated black, yellow and a robins egg blue (robins egg bridesmaid dress and yellow bouquets) but i'm way too indecisive. I also contemplated a brighter green (green, black and white for colors) but again, nothing set in stone.

I would LOVE suggestions, advice, anything. TIA!

Have you thought about grey and crimson

Chocolate brown and green

shades of purple

our colors are gold and sapphire

sunflower yellow, grey

turquoise and red

why does black need to be one of the focal colors? he can stand out with his black outfit and the tie can be his tie-in to the color scheme.

2015? That is a long way to go. I know you say you want it out of the way now, but you still have four years! I'm sure that you'll hate whatever you pick now by the time the real planning starts.

i wouldn't really decide on anything if i were you, my fiance and i tried doing that and we decided to move up our date a whole year.

I'm having a summer wedding with Black tuxes also. And our colors are lime green and black. black bridesmaids dresses with lime green sashes. and bright flowers like white and green I'm thinking.
