I am having a fairytale/cinderella theme wedding. pink and white and maybe silver will be our colors. some ideas so far are glass slippers at the table with wrapped mints in them. i thought id put a wand in each centerpiece with the flowers. (small wand - dont want it to be to pbvious) Not sure what to do for the escort table yet. The invitations will be a fairytale motif through vista print. i need more things to give the fairytale feel. The wedding will be inside at the continental manor in norwalk. Dont want it to be to korny, but i just love cinderella. any suggestions?

I think that you could do this but I think you should also keep in mind the idea of prince charming, since it's your FI's wedding too -- it would add romance to the cinderella theme in my opinion. Silhouettes of a princess can be pretty and non-Disney-like to put on cards, programs, and menus etc.

Ummm...........pumpkin carriages, the Fairy Godmother? I agree - add your Prince Charming to the decor.

I would google - there has to be a ton of different things out there with Cinderella themes.

hi my mom is gettting married and this is her knot thing but when she saw ur post she came and got me im in love with every thing Cinderella my wedding is also going to be theme as it haha but anyways i want a horse and carriage to take me from the church ( or where ever) and im going for the full on ball gown as my wedding dress and as for not making it "disnay" i say just do light light blues and lots of silver and sparkles and for center pices im going to do like little glass slippers with some kind of flower in them but i don't know how Cinderella you trying to go im going to wear a light light light blue dress and a tiara and the groom and grooms men will be in like white tux jackets and black pants with a red gray strip down the sids and my brides maids will be in simple light light pink dresses with blue flowers and clear heels so they look like the glass slippers the ring barre will carry a pink pillow with blue trim with silver ribbons im also 20 yrs old not engaged ...... but i have wanted this wedding since i was a child i have many more details if your interested just e-mail my mom back best of luck!

One idea i think would be really nice for a Cinderella themed wedding.

Wear glass slippers... after your ceremoney.... lose a shoe as you walk out of the ceremony site (have someone, perferrabley the best man i guess lol) get the shoe...

at the reception have chairs lined up for each of your bridesmaids and yourself as well.

have them enter etc. but go to sit in the chairs as they enter (the groomsmen can line up behind the chairs or something or stand off to the side)

When the bridal party has all entered, then you and your husband walk in.
you still only have one shoe on, you go and sit in the last chair.

the best man hands the groom the glass slipper you had lost.

he then goes to each brides maid trying the shoe on each girl but it won't fit.

finally he gets to you and slips the glass slipper on and it's a perfect fit.

you stand up, and kiss etc.

and then you can use that to lead into your first dance.
