Hi Everyone! I am getting married on July 3rd, and not interested in doing traditional red/white/blue colors, my colors are all pink, but I wanted to try to see if there were any creative ideas to incorporate the holiday into my reception. I am trying to pull of fireworks, but that might not work, so other ideas would be great! Thanks

I am getting married on July 2nd. We are going for a tropical themem but avoiding the overall red white and blue theme. I really like the idea of the sparklers at night!

I'm getting married july 7th 2012 and we made the colors silver, pool blue and fusha so it looks red white and blue but not technically. I do like the sparkler idea just be careful if you have little kids running around and take into account if your reception is outside or inside!
Maybe try a signature drink that has an "american- 4th of july" theme or put little USA flags into the toothpicks and drinks with the fruit or stir sticks

love the sparkler idea. if you can't do that - then just add silver/gold/metallic tones where you can

I'm getting married july 6,12. colors are blue topaz, silver and white. we are doing fireworks and pig roast. we are having the whole thing outside on our property so we have lots of nature as a backdrop. we're also putting tealights in cans with holes poked in them. sounds chessy but it really twinkles nicely when hung from trees and spaced around our pond. I did a trial run because i was concerned they might look funky but its so lovely. good luck! ps I LOVE the sparkler idea

I am getting married July 4th 2013 and I am having the same dilemma! I wanted to run with the July 4th theme but I dont want to plaster red, white & blue everywhere. I am leaning towards teal as my bridesmaids dress colors so I was thinking about doing teal and white...white or champagne linens with the teal accent color. It's my fiance and I's favorite color & it sort of fits with July 4th for the blue color. Fireworks are already being shot off from the bridge that overlooks my venue...lucky for me they are done by the town that night! And we want to do sparklers too.
My main think I'm stuck on is flowers....if the bridesmaids have teal dresses & white flowers with a teal wrap on the flowers..should I have red or white roses with my white gown? I don't want to go too red, white & blue so do you think it would look cute for me to have red flowers even though red is not of of my wedding colors? Or do you think white flowers would look nicer? I just dont want to throw off the way my whole wedding party looks by everyone wearing teal dresses, white flowers then me standing there with red flowers....any thoughts on this & any other suggestions for incorporating the july 4th theme?

It depends what is your venue like...A mansion, hotel, etc because its tough to give ideas without the feel of the space.
