I'm getting married this NYE in NJ....the weather is normally in the mid to high 40's.  We are doing photos outside after the ceremony around 6pm so it will be dark out.  Do you think I NEED to have a fur wrap?  I know if I have one I wouldn't want it on for all of my pictures b/c I want my dress showing, but is it bearable?   How cold where you?I keep wondering if I'll be able to suck it up

I think you'll be okay if you have a wrap or coat of some sort WITH YOU... You can use it between shots to keep you warm. We took a lot of outdoor pictures, and I wasn't wearing my jacket in all of them. Pics in bio.

Good luck :)

I'm getting married on NYE too but in NH.  I have been having the same back and forth tho!  There's a small courtyard in the middle of the hotel that should it snow, it would stay clean.  Otherwise, I'm just anticipating some chilly temps.  Is a fur the only thing you can think of?? I also hate the idea of buying it to use for a half hour tops. lol

I agree-as long as you have a coat or blanket nearby, you can probably get away without one if you don't want one on for pics.

With my wrap-I wrapped it around my arms and tied it behind my back so I had the fur but still could see my entire dress and the bodice detail.

If you don't want a fur-look around, there are lots of options-pashminas, a vintage cartigan, a bolero jacket-get creative!

It was 15* outside on our wedding day and we were outside taking pics for quite awhile. I feel like the adrenaline really helped and the only part I remember being cold were my fingers from holding the wet stems of my bouquet.

I highly recommend getting some hand warmers-like skiiers use. They help a lot and it's easy for your FI to have in his pocket to keep him warm too.

Thanks for the handwarmer advice!!!!!  I didn't even think of thatIf I don't get the fur wrap I might just bring a blanket or coat like you said just to have something with me in b/w shots.

I was so high on the day that I didn't feel it at all. I was outside for about 45 mins taking pictures and while my photographers were all bundled up in hats and scarves I never needed anything. The excitement kept me warm.

I wore my fur coat to and from the outdoor picture locations but did take it off for our pictures and I seriously didn't notice how cold it was I was on such a rush from all the activities. The bridesmaids were chilly though they had wraps.

I think that you will have so much adreneline pumping that you're not going to even notice the cold.  We went out in NYC for my bachelorette party, and when all of the girls were outside with wraps, I was perfectly fine in my little dress and couldn't think of anything except how excited I was.

I didn't feel a thing!  My H and I still talk about how our guests said they were cold and we were like "What is wrong with you it is awesome out here"
