Im getting married in January of 2012, yes it is aways away. But, we have no clue on themes and color ideas, so we've started looking into it. does anyone have any ideas? we want something really unique. No Wines or other dark reds, not really a fan of green either.
Has anyone ever had a Black White and Silver Wedding with a Crystal Theme?

I know someone on January 2011 board is having a black white and crystal wedding, it all depends on what you want. Its your day!
Buuuut, heres some colors i like for winter . .dark purple & gold or navy & silver.. being so far away, you might change ur mind a million times. I know i have!

Hi! I'm getting married in January 2011. My theme is dark red and gold. Very warm colors for the season. Of course, you have many options. :) Good luck!!!!! :)

I have been to more than one winter wedding with black.white and silver with a crystal theme. It is very classy!

YAY! SOMEONE ELSE GETTING MARRIED 2012! Well, you are getting married at the beginning and I am getting married at the end! ha ha (December 24, 2012)
Anyway, I make all sorts of bags and used to do a lot of weddings (for girls on this site as a matter of fact) but anyway I did a lot of January weddings and silver & ice blue were REALLY popular:) probably because they are "icy and wintery" ha ha!

I am having dark purple and champagne for my January 2011 wedding. My other favorite is navy blue and ice blue (with crystal and silver accents).
Our venue has champagne looking curtains and gold chandeliers though so we went with the purple.
OH! I also love love mostly white and silver and gold OR white with dusty rose pink and gold.

I'm going with sage green and aumbergine with maybe a few silver accents. I'm going to have a sort of first signs of spring theme...the decorations will be lots of candlelight, fiddleheads, ferns, flowering branches, and pussy willow. And best of all, a bonfire. Yay for living in Florida where I can have the wedding outside in January.

My date is 1/1/2011 and my colors are cobalt blue and silver with crystal accents. I changed my colors maybe five times before making my final decision.

I am getting married Jan 2011 and we are doing pink and ivory with gold accents. I have had a lot of questions about doing pink in the winter but what it really comes down to is your preference. It's your wedding, color it the way you want!

Hi all! We did silver and ice blue and white and it turned out BEAUTIFULLY. I have 20+ white branch centerpieces (real hand-painted Manzanita and real Mitsumata branches <<naturally white>>) if any of you are interested! I'm also getting married January 2011 and our colors are deep purple, ice blue, and either white or ivory (haven't decided yet). The major downside is finding ideas to go along with this color scheme but what we've found so far looks really pretty together.

I think we've decided on Black White and Silver. With an "im so icy" theme.
We plan to have all of our girls decked out in diamonds, from head to toe. but keep it classy.
still need some ideas on decoration and centerpeices though. We'd like to keep with the "im so icy" theme.

I'm getting married January 14, 2011 and we are doing like a lot of people are and have done with the blue and silver. Not so much a navy blue but not an ice blue either. Like everyone has said though, it's your wedding.. it's your decision!! Best of luck to ya!!

I am getting married 1/7/11...We are planning on eggplant purple definately and silver I believe. I am relieved to see so many of you having January weddings and utilizing color. I feel like most of the wedding colors online and in magazines for winter weddings are all white in color.
Also, do you have to have a pinpointed theme?

I am having a January 2012 wedding too! I am using a violet purple. I wanted it to be a rich new color for the new year. I am also mixing in silver, white and crystals. I have been to a black, white and silver wedding before, and it is very elegant. I think it would be very pretty for a January wedding.

We were originally planning for Jan 2011, but close enough, it's now Dec. 31st 2010 lol. We're doing ice blue, white, and silver. I really like these colors for the "wintry ice" look. It's more of a fun theme...we'll be doubling our reception as a New Year's Eve party. We'll also do things like sprinkle "crystals" on the tables to add to it. The black, white, and silver sounds nice also, more of an elegant, formal setting. So it's all on what kind of atmosphere you want!

We're doing a Christmas wedding theme for our Jan wedding - Apple and Holly colors (but you could do silver and burgundy perhaps, or gold?), with holly, poinsettias, cranberries, pine, mistletoe etc etc. We're also considering Christmas cactus seeds as a favor.

I'm getting married 1-29-11 and we are planning an elegant rustic wedding. Our colors are mocha, sage, white and winter greens. We're going for a warm cozy look with lots of candles and our venue has wooden beams along the ceiling.

i will be celebrating 15years January 2012 ..i like the icy blue , silver, white colors...what is a good way to add brown to go with it...im playing with the idea of choc.white cake combo and maybe add color to it....what other color/theme ideas are good for january..

I am doing white and black with creams, silvers and grays as accent colors...there will be a TINY bit of red as my grandmother's favorite flower is a poinsettia and it will be in honor of my grandpa who got them for her each year for her birthday before he passed :)

Our wedding date is January 28, 2012 and we chose silver and a frost/iceberg blue color.. We're also using lots of snowflake themed decorations. I love winter time and the possibilities are almost endless. One of my ideas for centerpieces is to take a clear vase and fill the bottom with clear and blue crystals then use battery powered LED lights to light the bottom and put branches down inside the vase for a simple but elegant look that is wintery.
