We have decided to do a winter wedding in early 2011. We LOVE snowmobiling so we thought it would be awsome to incorporate it somehow. We are going to look at a venue this weekend, which we will be able to drive our sleds up and hopefully into the reception as our grand entrance (the venue is a refurbished barn).....and hopefully we can leave on it too.
Have you heard of anyone doing this before? Do you have any ideas?

OMG!!! I hope FI isn't reading this!! He totally loves SM'ing. I think it would be fun, but sort of hard in a long white dress, plus we sort of get a bit dirty sometimes.

haha yeah I know. Im gonna have to very careful. We just found out venue yesterday so we are DEFINATLY going to incorporate snowmobiling into it!

That's how we got engaged was on snowmobiles. My wedding is 12/11/10 and I am hoping we'll have enough snow to drive off on sleds! Go for it!

its a great idea! my fiance and i love snowmobiling too....but one thing to think about is the gas fumes. They'll be stuck in your clothing and your going to be hugging people.....

Sure has! It was done in Michigan's Upper Peninsula last winter... however, the bride and groom wore snowmobile clothing and the bride had a small veil. Their friends all lined up with their sleds to await the couple who rode in on their sleds!! You might find a few pictures at the Michigan Snowmobile Association website.. that is where I saw the pictures in the first place!
We aren't having that kind of wedding... however, we are hoping we can get a few great pictures of us on our sleds after our ceremony, which is February 12, 2011!! Following our Saturday evening ceremony (Dearborn, MI) we will be heading to the U.P. for a week long snowmobile honeymoon!
