I think that would be fine. I was asking some friends about certain wedding colors for a winter wedding being "right," and they reminded me it's my wedding......and who cares what the "right" colors are! Laughing

I agree with the last post! There are no "right" colors. I am getting married next November but since I live in Northern Minnesota, I am still doing a winter themed wedding. I chose David's Bridals "Horizon" (bright, royal blue), "Capri" (light, powder blue. My personal attendant calls it Cinderella Blue), and "Pewter" (silvery gray along with your glittery theme idea :) ) I love that you're doing purple. That was my original plan but I changed my mind. Good luck!

I also agree with PP :) I got my color inspriation from a Sprite can. (just no yellow). We are trying to stay away from the "Traditional" winter and Christmasy looks. FI and I are not very traditional and are always looking for ways to break the rules - so no red or gold for our December wedding. I think the royal purple and deep blue would look lovely!

I am using a dark purple for the bridesmaid dresses, and my flowers (and shoes of course!) We were originally going to go for the "tiffany blue" color, but changed our mind. And it is YOUR wedding. As long as you love the color, thats all that matters :)

I also was concerned with having colors that were "right" for winter.  I am going with celery green and navy blue.  Accents of white and silver.  The bridesmaids dresses are celery and the guys are wearing navy suits with celery ties.  My only concern was that my dress and flowergirls dress are ivory.  But again I was remined that it is MY wedding!  good luck to all :)

I chose white, ice blue and silver for my January winter wonderland wedding but I think you can choose deeper colors and its still appropriate for winter.

Our wedding is Dec 3 and we're doing red, white with tiny pops of light pink. Red is FI fav color, mine is pink, but we didn't want it to look like valentines day so we're doing small pops of the light pink lol

I struggled for a while trying to figure out the "right" colors for my winter wedding. Then I came along some pictures on the internet and fell in love! My colors are turqoiuse and red :) different and I was nervous taking the risk but after getting everything put together so far I could be happier!

I am getting married Dec 3rd as well and we have choosen the colors White, Navy Blue and Silver. I didn't want to overdo the Christmas thing because I don't want to remind everyone that in just a couple of weeks they're going to be dropping a bundle. Do what YOU want because I had a friend who did what everyone else wanted her to do and she hated every minute of it. She still regrets it to this day! Congrats

We are getting married February 18th and doing dark purple with accents of dark red! As long as you are happy that is all that matters! :)
