Need Advice...

Where are you ladies getting ready on your big day???? I'm having an issue with finding hotels (11 months out) with rooms available, let alone suites for me to get ready with my girls and moms. Any ideas????

I am getting ready at the hotel that I booked the rooms at.  I reserved a suite for the night before and I will be in the same suite the night of the wedding because we get a free room with the room block.

We got a suite for the girls and one for the guys for the night before the wedding (so we knew we could get in the room in the early AM on the day of to get ready) at the hotel where our block was.

Why are you having a hard time finding rooms this far out?  Is it a popular weekend?

It happens to be Columbus Day weekend but I didn't think that more than half the hotels in the area would be booked this far out. @JoanE2012  These hotels don't even have rooms to block out..... I don't know what I should do at this point

What part of Jersey are you looking to leave from?  Where is your venue?

Maybe you can find some smaller bed and breakfasts in the area versus a hotel? im sorry

How far out are you willing to go?  According to google maps the hotel I'm using in Fairfield is a 22min ride.

My venue is in North Haledon and recommends a hotel or 2 in that area.

• Best Western
• Hampton Inn and Suites
• The Holiday Inn Hotel

Huh, that's strange!  Paramus area on Columbus Day weekend (almost a year away!) doesn't seem like it would warrant sold out rooms.  Hope you find a place with the leads from PP!  Do come back and let us know how it works out!

My venue let us come at 9AM and use the bridal suite. We had lunch and everything there. My hairdresser and makeup artists were also there.

I just emailed my venue to ask if this would be possible. They may charge me though, did your venue charge you @gelaine22 ?

My hotel block is the wilshire grand in West Orange but I have used the Marriot in Park Ridge when I had my first wedding

No, they did not charge us AND they served us light lunch and mimosas/tea/coffee/juice.

They got ready in the grooms' suite. My venue had 2 large suites. One for the bridal party and one for the guys.
