DJ that lets us create the playlist

Hi- We're looking for a DJ with all the sound & light set up, but will allow us to create the entire playlist. My fiancé is really into music, but not so much the typical reception music that the DJ's play. Any suggestions?

My coworker is using Buckeye entertainment (I did too) and he said they are letting him set the entire playlist. Talk to them to verify. GL!

Buckeye Entertainment will let you create a list of "must play" and "play if possible" and "do not play lists.  They are reasonable with their pricing and they have the light setup as an optional add on.

Are you imaging creating a unique and cool playlist to be played in a pre-determined order?  If that's the case, you could always create your own playlist, and just rent sound equipment.  It seems like when people see a DJ, they assume a level of "playing to the crowd", and it sounds like that isn't what you want?
