Centerpiece ideas? not traditional flowers

hey all!

so we just booked our wedding at The Atrium on July 25  - the colors are watermelon pink and orange. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas (that are relatively cost effective) for unique centerpiece ideas?

    You'll find a lot of ideas on the Budget & DIY board. There are quite a few threads with different suggestions and pictures of what other brides have done.

    We ended up going with flowers after all, but FI was toying around with the idea of going FYI using lanters, silk flowers, and candles.  But the reason we went flowers is that DIY (at least with what she had planned) was not gong to be cheaper and it would have left us responsible for the set up.  Working with the florist jut made more sense in the end.
