I had stumbled upon The Backyard when I was searching event planners in the area, and I was wondering if anyone has had/knows anyone who has had experience working with them.  

Are there any event planners that you have had a wonderful time with and would suggest working with them?

Have you searched on this board for that company?  I seem to remember a discussion about them, but I can't remember.  I think they are college students or recent grads, maybe?

I used Significant Events of Texas when planning my wedding, and I absolutely loved them.  Meredith, the owner, was my coordinator and, while she was expensive, she was worth every single penny.  One other bride on this board had a negative experience with one of her assistants, but I think everyone else I know of has worked directly with Meredith and loved her.  If you want to hand someone else the reins, I highly recommend her.

Some other girls have used Altar Ego Events and really loved them.
