    Yes! I am brand new and looking for ideas in SD!!! I will be getting married in Sioux Falls April 2012. Just started planning so no huge issues yet or favorites.

    I'm getting married June 11 as well. I have decided to not do cake. We are doing a fake cake with a real top for the cutting ceremony but we are going to have petit fours for our guests instead.

    Im checking out Tonna's Cakes tomorrow. She was the only one willing to do our grooms cake. Im sure itll be a bit expensive.

    Hi! I haven't checked SD's wall in awhile :)  I am getting married in about 2 months! April 16th, 2011. I love wedding planning and am doing a lot of things myself. My best friend is actually baking my cake for me too, so I don't have an answer for your cake questions.

    I'm sure you will be able to taste test though ;)

    I'm getting married in Sioux Falls on June 4, 2011!  My cake is from Hy-Vee..they have awesome cake, I brought in a picture and they are going to recreate it for me.  Not bad price either.

    Hello all,  I am getting married in Sioux Falls on July 21, 2012.  I am so excited cause we have just chosen our reception venue...the ZOO!!   It is very fun and unexpected, just like us.   

    I too love HyVee's cakes (had them at 2 weddings I have been to) but my brother is a spectacular cake decorator and is super excited about decorating mine.

    Hi Ladies,

    I'm living in Wyoming, but am from Rapid City, and getting married there November 12, 2011. Anyone know any hobby cake bakers around Rapid that make wedding cakes as a side business?? My sister had Jerry's make hers, and I was not impressed. I haven't heard any good things about Piece of Cake, and I don't really want a grocery store cake. If anyone knows someone who is excellent, let me know! Thanks!!

    Hello Ladies!

    I'm in Sioux Falls and getting married August 13, 2011. In response to the cake question, I'm using The Cake Ladies. I tried their mini cupcakes at a bridal fair and just about melted...and when we met with them to discuss ideas it was even better!

    We're doing cupcakes for the reception, but having a small 2-tiered cake for cake cutting photos. The cool part with them is that instead of freezing the top tier to have on your first anniversary, they'll re-create the top tier at no charge for your one year anniversary!

    If you're looking for reception site ideas, the El Riad Shrine Mosque downtown is a great place. They have a huge dance floor and a stage available for either a live band or DJ.

    As an  Officiant in Sioux Falls, I know nearly all of the Wedding Pros.     I wouldn't trust you to officiate since you're either not detail oriented when it comes to fine print or just don't care.

    When you created an account on the Knot, it mentioned that vendors of any kind are not permitted to post on the boards.  Yet here you are advertising.

    Also, it's "advice" not "advise" in that sentence.
