Spanx? Great place to get them in town AND are they worth it?

Hi ladies,

I think I want to wear some spanx under my gown :) My gown is full-coverage, so I can wear as MUCH or LITTLE underneath. I just want to smooth out some bumps, if you know what I mean! Thoughts? I have heard Von Maur is a good place to start....

What types do you all like? What works for you?

    Depending on where your "lumps" are that need smoothed out....

    I prefer a corset to spanx/immitation product for the waist area.  Even though I have a short torso, the waist never comes up high enough and rolls down.

    For smoothing out lumps on the hips and thighs I find off brands to be just as useful.

    Macy's, Von Maur, Kohl's (off brand) and just about any store with a decent selection of undergarments will have different products.

    Thank you for the info! I was thinking I might do a corset...I just want to be as smooth as possible since I have a beautiful belt!
