Wedding Exit

The church my FI are getting married at has strict rules, no confetti, bird seed, etc. So I thought balloons may be a good alternative? The only issue is coordinating getting the balloons to the church, filled and stringed non the less.  Has anyone ever pulled this off or have any suggestions how to? I'm even open to other alternative wedding exit suggestions. Thanks!

I like the idea of the balloons, it will definitely make for great pictures. Do you plan on releasing them?

I do want to release them, I love the pictures I've seen with a balloon release!  Each balloon would have a note attached stating where the balloon came from, a contact email for who ever finds it to write the balloons destination.  Lofty goal I know.

Sadly, releasing balloons is really unsafe for wild life in the area and I love the look of them too.

Have you thought about sparklers or sky lanterns (could be a fire hazard depending on your area) or bubbles or even glow in the dark bubbles?

We saw a wedding last year in mexico and they did the sky lanterns and they were beautiful! I loved them and I would be doing it if we were allowed too.

I've seen confetti that dissolves with water - can you use that?  I'm just going with bubbles since they are easy and cheap.

I am generally opposed to balloon releases-as a PP said, they are bad for the environment-and although the pictures are nice, coordinating ONE MORE THING to get a great picture would not make me happy.

We are doing bubbles. I'm a pre-school teacher, so I actually use these amazing bubbles at work everyday.

How about flower petals? That's what we're doing. Would your church be OK with that?

Great suggestions! I too was concerned about what happens when the balloons come down. I've even looked into environmental friendly balloons.  I thought about sill string, but I'm not sure that disintegrates? I may just go with noise makers and call it good. ha! Thanks for all the feedback ladies!
