What to do with guests?

Hi, we've just booked a ceremony at Aria. Nothing is booked or organised yet for the rest or the day, so I find it so difficult to plan. Please could you share your plan for the day?

I originally wanted a very small wedding for just us 2 and to do a nice long photoshoot after the ceremony, driving around with the photographer in a nice classic car, getting lots of locations done and also matching tattoos along the way. Now we will have about 20 guests and I have major trouble deciding how to fit it all in, so as not to abandon the guests for 3 hours! And if we do abandon them between ceremony and reception, what should we organise for them to do? It will only be our siblings and close friends, everyone young and easy going.. We will be afterwards doing a dinner somewhere and then cake and drinks in our suite, maybe club after. I don't like the idea of a double decker bus, as we are from London and these buses are everywhere, but it seems everyone is booking these buses for a Strip tour.. Help, any other other ideas??

You could rent a different bus for a strip tour, or take them down to freemont. You could host a cocktail hour with appetizers. Or get space at a lounge and offer a hosted bar for your guests. If it is during the day a cabana at a pool could be another option. I definetly feel planning every minute of the day isnt as important in vegas because there is a lot to do. But in respect for properly hosting your guests giving them an options would definetly be appropriate.
  • I think there's more than enough for folks to do on their own. Part of the "Vegas experience" is walking the Strip and poking around in the casinos. If you decide on a restaurant in a casino, you could give your guests a few chips from that casino to either get them started or remind them of where to meet you afterwards. :)

If you want a group activity and have a bit of budget, consider booking one of the afternoon magic shows, like Jeff Civilico or Mac King. Or drop your guests off a Circus Circus's Adventuredome, a full theme park with roller coasters and rides. That's definitely enough entertainment for your classic car cruise.

  • Check out the Neon Boneyard. I think that place looks so cool. If I didn't have my plans booked, I would pay for a shuttle to take us there.
