We understand the custom that a bridge may change her last name to match that of the husband, and thus giving her a maiden name (e.g. "Mother's Maiden Name" on credit card applications).
What if a groom changes his last name to match that of his husband, is it still a maiden name? What do you call the change in name between two guys? I never felt like I was a maiden and yet I haven't heard of a good substitute.
