Our ceremony space is outdoors, in a courtyard/large walkway type area between two venues. There is a lot of greenery and beautiful stone architecture. We will have overhead bistro lighting as well. We ordered two floral arrangements for the altar.
That being said - if neither FI or I care much about any more decor for the space, is it really necessary? We haven't planned on aisle decor, anything on the chairs, an aisle runner, etc. Nothing. We just feel it's a little silly to spend any more money on a space that will occupied for a maximum of 30 minutes. What are your thoughts? Have you attended a wedding with minimal ceremony decor and thought it stood out, in a bad way? Do we do something simple like DIY ribbon decor for chairs? Any advice appreciated!
