Rehearsal Dinner location?

We are getting married in November in San Diego and trying to find a place to host a rehearsal dinner. We will have around 30 people, and are trying to keep the cost around 1k or less. The wedding is on Mission Bay, near Point Loma. Any suggestions? We were thinking either Italian or American cuisine, although we are open to suggestions. Just not a seafood place. Thank you!

    Bali Hai is a great venue for a rehersal dinner.  The view is spectaular and a party of 30 (ish) is no problem for them.  Plus the menu has tons of non-seafood options.  For Italian, check with Old Venice in Point Loma.  They are a much smaller venue, so logistics may be more tricky, but we had a big family dinner here the night of our engagement (I didn't know the proposal was coming, but my fiancee put together a big family dinner here so everyone was seated and waiting for us (He booked the back patio)  as we walked in after his proposal.  Good luck! :)
