We have a new addition to our little family! No, it's not a baby, well at least not a human one (still waiting a few years for that lol)....we adopted a new dog today! We went to the shelter just to fill out an application for pre-approval but we saw a lil female (which is what we wanted since we already have a male) and she was just too cute and perfect to pass up. Plus we were both really surprised that hubby actually liked her (he's kinda picky about the types/breeds of dogs) and once we had her out to meet with us in the play area we knew that we couldn't leave her there and we'd regret it. (Also, the holiday special price was a HUGE advantage: if you were wearing red, white or blue the cost of the adoption was $17.76 instead of the normal $150 price.) So far, she's doing good, as is our first dog (Murphy); she does have kennel cough so we have to keep them separated for about a week or two, which is a little tough since all Murphy wants to do is meet her & play with her. Anyways, here's a picture of our new little girl, Cali. She was from a shelter in L.A., hence her name (our idea, the shelter had her listed as Missy), and she's a 3 year old Manchester terrier mix with a doxie. I'll have to wait till she's better and we've introduced her properly to Murphy to get a nice group photo!
