Photographer and Videographer combine or hire separate

Hi All,

I am in the process of looking for a photographer and a videographer for the big day! From your experiences did you find it better to hire a vendor who provided both services or did you hire a separate photographer and videographer?

    Separate. While the trades are similar the equipment needs are VASTLY different. If you have the same people/ person doing both, one of them will be an after thought. 

    I hired separate, I would not even consider using the same business for both.

    Not to mention the post editing is two completely different, complicated software processes.

    Separate. Photography and videography are both very specialized fields with unique gear and bodies of knowledge. I'd want someone who dedicated themselves just to one.
